About the Author


Nick Carbò is the author of three books of poetry, including El Grupo McDonald's (1995) and Secret Asian Man (2000). He has edited three anthologies of Filipino literature, including RETURNING A BORROWED TONGUE and PINOY POETICS. Among his awards are fellowships in poetry from the National Endowment for the Arts and the New York Foundation for the Arts. He resides in Madrid.

Eileen R. Tabios has released seventeen print, four electronic, and one CD poetry collections, an art essay collection, a poetry essay/interview anthology, a short story book, and a collection of novels. She is a recipient of the Philippines' National Book Award for Poetry. Her poems have been translated into Spanish, Italian, Tagalog, Japanese, Paintings, Video, Drawings, Visual Poetry, Mixed Media Collages, Kali Martial Arts, Modern Dance, and Sculpture.
