Dr. Maria Fisher is a board-certified pediarician who strongly believes in patient and parent education. The Iggy books were written and drawn by her, and used in her clinic. Before becoming a physician, she worked in cancer research. She currently runs an exercise and nutrition program in her clinic, and occationally writes on children's nutrition and execise. She is also a certified personal trainer.
