Brick By Brick My Custom LEGO Racer
"Perfect for anyone that is a fan of imagination"
Max Lego also known as "Mad Max" is hired to design/build an Ionic Thruster Powered racing machine and race it across America. He introduces his race car, the X1R and tells about different components used to make it. Max also introduces other vehicles and staff members of his team.
This is a whimsical, imaginative book created by a home school father using Mindstorms, Minifigures and other LEGO products to tell a story. The idea came about after the author's children created cars to compete in a race sponsored at their monthly 4H LEGO and Robotics club meeting. The race was similar to Pine Wood Derby events but cars made only of LEGO bricks were used.
The family recently won the National LEGO Smart Creativity Contest in the Homeschool division and some of the winnings from the contest were used to help create the book. There is a section providing some details about the contest and events leading up to it.
The first two pages are vertical format but the remaining pages are meant for horizontal viewing. This was done on purpose to allow a larger better quality of picture for viewing. The book can be viewed in color or black and white depending on your viewing device.
Special thanks to Andrew Gutu and Mark Glass for photo Editing.
The author has also written "The Animator Inside of You" a how to guide to stop motion animation.
