Seventy year later, when Andy remembers his Grandpa Myles's tales about growing up on the prairie, he wonders what stories he will tell when he has grandchildren. Algebra, soccer practice, computer games, a day at the mall? Determined to keep his grandfather's memories alive and have some adventures of his own, Andy heads out to discover what's left of the wild prairie.

About the Author

Helen Sedwick grew up in the wilds of New York City before there were coyotes in Central Park. For many summers, her family operated a summer stock theater in the Poconos. From those theater years and from reading countless books, she fell in love with the power of the story to make us laugh, learn, love and cry. She studied English at Cornell University and spent several years as an advertising copywriter. Then she attended University of Chicago Law School and moved to San Francisco where she has practiced business law for almost thirty years and raised twin daughters. She had a play produced in Los Angeles. Her short stories have won prizes in various contests and appeared in bosque (the magazine) and Redwood Writers' Vintage Voices 2012 Anthology.
