Welcome to my Beast Mastery, Marksman, Survival Hunter DPS guide for World of Warcraft MoP 5.2. Here, you will learn everything you need to know about playing a Hunter in a raid environment, though most of the content also applies to normal and heroic dungeons.

Currently Beast Mastery provides the highest DPS among the Hunter specialisations, as well as a very high DPS compared to the majority of other classes.

Beast Mastery Hunters will be pleased to find that many issues that had plagued the spec prior to Mists of Pandaria have been rectified, making the spec quite attractive indeed!
The Marksmanship specialisation provides sustained single-target DPS as well as good AoE DPS. Compared to the other two Hunter specialisations, Marksmanship is behind both Beast Mastery and Survival, in both single target and AoE. Compared to other classes and specs, it is towards the bottom end of the DPS rankings.

Currently, there is very little reason to choose Marksmanship over Beast Mastery or Survival.

The Survival specialisation is currently performing well, although data from the Beta currently places it slightly below Beast Mastery. In respect to the other classes, it is in a middle-of-the-pack position. Additionally, it has a very easy to perform rotation and it is not too affected by high movement encounters.....
