Jason Matos is the Manager of NOOK Merchandising Strategy—which means he works on all things NOOK, eBook and B&N Audiobooks for BN.com and the B&N NOOK App. He studied Video Production at Ithaca College (with a minor in writing). Instead of a career as a Radio DJ he worked at a record store for a number of years (where at times it did feel like the movie Empire Records). A couple years after he started working at Barnes & Noble, just before NOOK Color was released (2010) and he helped produce many of the first kids digital picture books. A lover of cookies (without raisins), craft beer, and vinyl records he can often be found reading (or listening to) memoirs, books about music, and LGBTQIA+ stories.
