Then a party of hunters comes to stay at Biltmore. Serafina’s mountain lion kin are in danger, but far worse is the chain of disaster unleashed when a mysterious white fawn is mortally wounded. As if by magic, Braedon appears that night at Biltmore, having jumped off the train taking him north, bringing with him his gift of healing. Strange creatures are savagely attacking the guests at Biltmore, and as the number of casualties grows, Mr. Vanderbilt turns to Serafina to protect those who are left.
