Our Most Anticipated New Book Releases of June 2021
We love a great escapist read any time of year, but there’s always an extra layer of fun and freedom to summer reading (even if we’re reading something on the serious side). Our most anticipated list for June 2021 starts with a new novel-with-a-twist from The Queen of Summer Reading, Elin Hilderbrand, and a fabulous follow-up to the blockbuster thriller The Silent Patient. We have a few more page-turners, including new novels from Laura Lippman and James Ellroy, but that’s not all: there’s historical fiction, incredible literary debuts, a fractured fairy tale and supernatural speculative fiction. And if nonfiction’s your preference, we have a couple of memoirs, a history/travelogue, and a biography that we’d love to have you look at. We hope you enjoy these reads as much as our booksellers did.

Dream Girl B&N Exclusive Edition
Novelist as a protagonist. Check! Self-referential title. Check! A character from said novel making phone calls to the author. Check? Leave it to Laura Lippman (a favorite here at Barnes & Noble) to work up a Gordian Knot of a novel that refuses to let us out of its grip. Dream state, imagination and the merging of the two are a perfect combination in this thriller. Incidentally, we think this title pairs nicely with Palace of the Drowned by Christine Mangan. Our Exclusive Edition discusses the inspiration behind the story.
