Gr 2-4-Two interesting and informative easy readers. The first discusses the water cycle in clear, simple language and explains such topics as evaporation, condensation, and water and sewage treatment, as well as the need to conserve this precious natural resource. The second title shows the various ways a variety of animals survive harsh winter weather. Migration and hibernation are discussed, as are other survival techniques such as hiding and changing color. This text is slightly more challenging but is concise and factual. The watercolor illustrations in both books are plentiful if undistinguished. Serviceable additions.Melissa Hudak, North Suburban District Library, Roscoe, IL
