Kyle's longest successful recorded shot was made from two thousand, one hundred yards (or one thousand, nine hundred and twenty meters) away outside of Sadr City. He had spotted an insurgent who was about to throw a grenade at a U.S. convoy. Kyle fired a single shot using a sniper rifle and successfully hit the man, killing him before he could cause any harm. Sadr City was the last place Kyle was deployed, and this was where he saw the worst fighting.
