In the town of Space City, every year new Agents must be recruited to replace the ones who are no longer able to serve. The animal companions actually pick the new recruits of the fallen Agents. When Pumpkin the cat selects Agent Boo, who is the smallest kid in the fourth grade, everyone is shocked, including Agent Boo herself. The agents face many challenges and come out on top, but when Agent Kira is kidnapped, it is up to Agents Boo and Asano to go behind enemy lines right into the empire of Queen Misery. This empire is called Iron City and for good reason. This is not an ordinary city, but one that is filled with unbelievable technology and many secrets. Finally it comes down to getting Queen Misery to understand that people can help other people and then everyone succeeds, but a new location must be found for Iron City. Can a location be found in time to save everyone? Why must there always be a difficult decision? Agent Boo must choose between listening to her heart or following the orders that are the opposite of what her heart tells her. This is a graphic novel with lots of text. The story is fast paced and covers many exciting circumstances. This book is perfect for reluctant readers as well as for kids who just like graphic novels. It is the third in a series, but can be read without reading the first and second. I believe, however, that once this one is read, the reader will want to experience all of them. Reviewer: Kathie M.
