Prospective college students will love reading this guide, which does prove itself to be ultimate. The smooth graphics, colors, and cool ways the information is presented will appeal to teens who want their questions answered by those in the know—that is, college students themselves. From dating to eating, studying, romance, and drinking, this book includes it all. Short comments are interspersed with student interviews from various colleges around the country. They are honest about situations that may occur, such as drinking too much; are cautionary about how much money is needed to cover miscellaneous expenses; and include helpful hints about getting along with a first roommate. What to wear, what to eat, and where to go for fun may differ depending on location, so the longer interviews are helpful, as they note which college the person attends. The larger size of the pages, color photographs, and variations in the size, fonts, and color of the text render the book most appealing. Helpful hints about things students may not ask in a college tour or interview are all included, such as what to do about a long-distance romance, what not to put on Facebook or Instagram, how to help friends who drink too much, what sororities are all about, and much more.
