Hope in a Bottle

Newly ordained, Father William
Sullivan set out as a missionary
to aid a hurricane-ravaged village
in South America. However, he
never arrived. Storms and sea life
conspired to maroon the priest
on a remote island void of human
life. Still eager to serve, Father
William refuses to allow isolation
to prevent his helping those in
need; the wounded, the desperate
and the defeated.
So with pen, paper and bottles,
Father William casts messages
into the surf intent on reaching
those who need him the most.

About the Author

Neil Patrick O'Donnell, is an anthropologist and life-long resident of Western New York. After years of studying changes to Native American and European societies through contact, he incorporated his discoveries into journal articles and short fiction pieces. O'Donnell's intent was to relay professional discoveries to a wider audience. PEOPLE OF THE SWORD, the first in a historical saga, was the culmination of these efforts. Inspired by people helping people, Neil brings his talent to focus on his latest work, HOPE IN A BOTTLE.
