Queen Victoria (Barnes & Noble Digital Library)

Hailed by the London Times as a “brilliant masterpiece” and by E. M. Forster as a work that “revolutionized the art of biography,” this book examines the life, but more so the psychology, of Queen Victoria. Strachey’s critical yet sympathetic look at her childhood, her marriage to Albert, her colorful court circle, and the tumults of her reign is a lively and vivid portrait of a complex woman.
