Second Chances
The story opens with Clay's father dying of a sudden heart attack, which leaves Clay groping for answers. He begins to look at his own mortality. His marriage seems to be failing quickly, and he wonders if he has made correct choices throughout his life. He begins to drink which puts even more stress on his relationship. Clay, his wife Maggie, and his son Billy, while traveling, suddenly drive 35 years into the future. Their three year old daughter is left in the 1990's with Clay's mother who is baby-sitting.
Eventually Maggie and Clay Split up and pretty much give up on getting back to the 1990's. They do eventually find their daughter who is working as a hooker in Las Vegas. She angrily dismisses the notion that Maggie and Clay could be her parents. Clay begins to humble himself, but he's still a long way from "home."
