Adventures of cousins in 1950's Texas. One cousin lives on a ranch the other in the city and they spend summers together in both places experiencing the excitment of both the city life and the country life. They take a planned and unplanned train trip together and avoid potential disasters along the way. The trust they have in each other is evident in how they solve situations they find themselves in and evolve with little or no damage. As they are doing this they learn many things about the postive and negative effects of instant decision making. With Katies sense of humor and Sara's serious and adventurous side their summers together are anything but dull. Katie is afraid of where Sara's antics will take her but she never fails to follow along sometimes holding her breath the entire time.
