With a flip and turn, this happy clown delivers a lighthearted greeting.
Materials
Card stock: ivory, green, white
Clowns stamp set
Watermark ink pad
Black solvent ink pad
Dye ink pads: yellow, orange, blue
Fine black embossing powder
Ultrafine glitter: green, orange
2 pennies
Antistatic bag
Water brush
Sponge dauber
Stipple brush
Embossing heat tool
Craft knife
Adhesive foam dots
Glue pen
¼-inch-wide double-sided tape
Adhesive foam tape
Cut a 6 × 5-inch piece of white card stock for card base. Stipple blue ink across upper half for the sky. Cut a 6 × 3½-inch piece of green card stock for grass and tear across top edge. Adhere to card base.
Cut one 1-inch-wide and one ¾-inch-wide strip from green card stock, each 6 inches long. Use scissors to fringe one long edge of each strip. Layer narrow strip on top of wider strip and set aside.
From white card stock, cut one small cloud. With sponge dauber, add blue ink around edges. Adhere to sky.
Stamp "Just Clowning Around" in blue ink and cut out as shown to create larger cloud. Ink edges as for small cloud and adhere to card as shown. Cut a piece of white card stock large enough to accommodate clown stamp. Swipe piece with antistatic bag. Ink clown stamp with watermark ink, and then black solvent ink; stamp onto card stock. Immediately heat emboss with black embossing powder.
To color clown, use water brush to pull color off dye ink pads. Note: Mix blue and yellow to make green for hair, and dilute orange to make color for face and hands.
Go over dots with glue pen and add orange glitter. Repeat with hair, using green glitter. Carefully trim out.
Use craft knife to carefully cut a 4¾ × 9/16-inch rectangle centered on front of card 2 inches from bottom (A). Note: Rectangle opening must be large enough for foam dot/penny to roll back and forth easily and small enough so foam dot/penny do not fall out. Test this before continuing.
Adhere foam dot to center of one penny. Carefully adhere second penny to opposite side of foam dot, taking care to center dot on penny (B).
Apply several small pieces of double-sided tape on top of second penny. Adhere clown to penny so penny is behind clown's head; press firmly to secure (C). Adhere layered grass strips to bottom of card front.
Cut a 6½ × 5½-inch piece of ivory card stock, and a 5¼ × 2-inch strip from green card stock. Adhere green strip centered on ivory piece 1½ inches from bottom.
On back of card front, adhere strips of foam tape.
Center card front on ivory piece and press to adhere.

Form a top-folded 4¼ × 4¼-inch card from blue card stock. Cut a 4 × 4-inch square from embossed paper and adhere to a 4 1/8 × 4 1/8-inch piece of red card stock. Cut a 12-inch length of ribbon and tie around bottom of card front; snip ends at an angle.
Referring to photo for placement, stamp "celebrate!" on embossed square. Pierce three holes through ribbon and insert brads.
Stamp seal and ball on white card stock; color using markers; cut out.
Use circle template and cutting system to cut two 2¾-inch circles from yellow card stock.
Place seal in the middle of one yellow circle and place circle template over it (A). Find a track on template that will line up with tail and flipper, and insert craft knife into template starting approximately ½ inch from tail of seal. Cut over to ½ inch from the flipper (so, when ball is placed over track, it will look like it is just touching each when it comes to the end of the track). Remove knife and move out to next track, cutting a new arc from tail to flipper as before.
Use scissors or knife to snip out middle section between two cuts to create track for ball (B).
Place an adhesive foam dot on center back of ball, and then attach a penny. Add another adhesive foam dot to center back of same penny and place dot through track on circle. Adhere second penny to dot on back of circle.
Adhere seal to circle, lining up tail and head with ball (C). Add a little shadow beneath seal with a gray marker.
Attach second yellow circle to back of first yellow circle with adhesive foam dots. Note: Take care not to place foam dots where they will interfere with movement of ball.
Cut a 3-inch circle from green card stock, and adhere yellow circles to it with adhesive foam dots.
Adhere circle mats to top of card, keeping total height of card within 5¼ inches so it will fit into an A2 size envelope.
For inside of card, cut a 4 × 4-inch square from yellow card stock and adhere. Stamp ball on white card stock, and punch out with 1¼-inch circle punch. Color ball with markers.
Stamp "kick up your heels!" on a½ × 4-inch strip of blue card stock, and adhere along inside bottom of card. Adhere ball over strip to the right.

Stamp zebra on white card stock. Stamp zebra again on scrap paper to use as a mask. Cut out mask, line it up over zebra and stamp ball over hoof. Color and cut out ball and zebra as one piece.
Using die templates, cut and emboss one 2 7/8 × 3½-inch rectangle from yellow card stock and one 2 7/8 × 3½-inch scalloped rectangle from red card stock.
Punch a ½-inch circle in center of yellow rectangle as far from one short edge as punch will allow. Use 1/16-inch hole punch to punch a partial circle out at upper left and lower right corners of yellow rectangle. Stamp "You rock!" on lower right side of yellow mat (A).
Pierce a hole in the upper left and lower right corner scallops of red scalloped rectangle and insert brads. Bend back prongs.
Add an adhesive foam dot to center back of ball, and then attach a penny (B).
Add another adhesive foam dot, and put it through hole in yellow rectangle, attaching another penny to the back (C).

Using permanent tape, adhere a 2 × 4¼-inch strip of green card stock to middle of card front, then adhere zebra rectangles centered over strip.
