Fading Lights

Then, like a lightning bolt, a hand came out of the crowd and grasped hers firmly. She couldn't even see who it was, and then he pulled her toward him... It was the fellow who she had seen looking at her all night. His other arm slid around her waist and, without saying a word to each other, they began to dance, with her head on his chest, not looking up.

Can love survive the ravages of war-and time? Find out in Bob Lamacki's riveting debut novel, Fading Lights.

The moment Rosalie and Sam lock eyes from across the room at a dance, their fates are sealed. Despite the fact they are only able to spend thirty-six hours together before World War II and all its tragedies pull them apart, their connection remains.

As Rosie reminisces about her ill-fated romance with Sam in 1999, readers come to understand the complications and misfortunes that kept the two lovers apart for so many years.

From the horrors of the World War II concentration camps and top secret work on the Manhattan project to a stint in the CIA and John F. Kennedy's assassination, the events of Fading Lights span almost six decades of love, loss, and everything in between.
