The King and his Hawk is a short story included in Fifty Famous Stories Retold. The narrative follows Genghis Khan, one of the greatest kings and conquerors known to mankind. Khan went into the woods with his hunting party and a favorite hawk. The hunt was long and boring, lack of any thrill. And just when Khan thought that this day was over and went back home, fate decided to teach the king a harsh lesson.
