About the Author

Cheryl Elizabeth Waddell is an author, poet, and teacher dedicated to educating children through the arts. As a lyricist for Fern's Music / Fern Forest Enterprises, she also creates companion picture books for Fern's thematic CDs. Cheryl has focused her concern for children and the social issues confronting them today in two poetry collections, Where Children Fall and Deidi's Song. Rockrhydin, inspired by a Christmas gift she gave her firstborn nephew, is her first published picture book.
JANICE PREY WOLFE is a San Francisco artist, portraitist, and illustrator specializing in watercolor and digital art. Her dear family members have always been pressed into modeling service for her illustration work. With the goal of fostering respectful awareness of each other and our surroundings, she continues to add to her "Scenic California" series of commemorative paintings, cards, posters and prints. Her many years of performing, as well as her work in youth theater, enhance the narrative quality of her illustrations. Janice is also a book and graphic designer. Rockrhydin has been her favorite book project so far!
Fern Carver Michonski is a children's entertainer, songwriter, musician, and teacher/childcare specialist. As creator of Fern's Music / Fern Forest Enterprises, a Mom's Choice Award winning business, she is devoted to bringing wholesome and inspiring entertainment to children. Fern has recorded and released six original albums including Kids! Christmas! Fern! with her theme song Rockrhydin. Her music receives international airplay via the internet and radio. She recently expanded her business to include the publication of children's books with the release of Rockrhydin.
