Not long ago a man who wishes to remain anonymous appeared at my door. We had spoken together previously two days earlier by telephone. At that time he indicated to me he had a story which he wished to relate to someone who was a writer. Alas, I thought, he has chosen me.<br><br>
Although I do not usually agree to listen to the tales of complete strangers, something about the man was different, very different. I could tell that much during our first conversation which was quite brief at that.
