About the Author

Nancy Griffin is the editor of the Gulf of Maine Times and the author of Maine 101 and The Remarkable Stanley Brothers. She lives in Thomaston, Maine. Anne Rosen is a freelance illustrator working out of Truro, Massachusetts.

Jeff Cox is an emerging children's book author and I Love Maine is his second book. Nancy Griffin is a native of Newfoundland and brought up in Boston, who has been living in Maine for more than 30 years. A former wire service and newspaper reporter and editor, she is now a freelance writer for newspapers and magazines that run the gamut from general interest to trade publications. She is currently the editor of the Gulf of Maine Times and is also the author of two books; a children's book called The Remarkable Stanley Brothers and a non-fiction bestseller called Maine 101. As a freelance writer, she has written for the Boston Globe, the Bangor Daily News, Working Waterfront, Irish America, the Hartford (CT) Courant, the Free Press, Seafood International and Seafood Processor (both in London, UK), the Navigator (St. John's, Newfoundland), National Fisherman and Seafood Business. She worked as a reporter and editor for the (weekly) Camden Herald in Camden, Maine, for United Press International in Augusta, Maine, the Nashua Telegraph in New Hampshire and the Brockton Daily Enterprise in Mass. She wrote, edited and formatted newsletters for the New England Fisheries Development Association in Boston, the Developmental Disabilities Council in Augusta, ME, and taught workshops in writing, newsletter writing and editing, and desktop publishing for the University of Maine at Augusta. Anne Rosen is the illustrator of several books in the Good Night Our World series, including Good Night Martha's VineyardGood Night Nantucket, Good Night New Hampshire, Good Night North Carolina, and Good Night Rhode Island. She lives in Truro, Massachusetts.
