If humans were as short-sighted as their policies concerning disasters, we would have a population of the blind. The Ostrich technique will not work for Earth much longer, so take a walk with me as we examine the most likely extinction events for our species, and how to deal with them, all with a bit of humor.

Shall We sit here until something bad happens?
Sooner or later, our world will become our grave, if we just sit here. I have become increasingly worried about Humanity's tendency to wait to act until disaster looms. When the flyswatter of doom strikes, it may not give enough notice to allow our survival.
