About the Author

Barbara Sofer is a prize-winning journalist and author whose popular column is featured in the Jerusalem Report. Her children’s books include Ilan Ramon: Israel’s Space Hero and Shalom Haver, Good-Bye, Friend, a photo essay and memory of Israel’s Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, which won the 1997 Sydney Taylor Award for best Jewish children’s book.
