Xema Gold is the alter ego of author Valda DeDieu. The Xema Gold version is always the more radical and/or longer version of her contemporary novels.

Valda De Dieu was born in Dominica, a place the CIA Factbook lists is "one of the ten most beautiful islands in the world"; she is the prolific author of eight novels, three collections of poetry and anthologies, and a number of essays. After announcing at seven years old that that she would grow up to be an author; she then wrote secretly while she took on other professions, namely Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, IPO’s, Real Estate and a few others.
She is an avid reader, gourmet cook, gardener and dog-lover. Among her numerous interests are Martial Arts, Skydiving and Screenplays. She also is a Movie, Art and Music buff. In her spare time, she invents gadgets and enjoys beating the computer, 3 players to 1 at Level 5 Scrabble.
She writes certain versions of her novels under the pseudonym Xema Gold; Sci-Fi and Fantasy for young adults as Valkyrie De Dieu; and her poetry collections as Valhalla DeDieu.
