My Manners Hands

My Manners Hands addresses the issues of traditional manners dissolving in our society. As the book says, “Somewhere along the way, the simplest manners went away.” Our world has become a place where multi-tasking is the norm, and texting and email can diminish the human aspect of communication. Partly because of this cultural phenomenon, we have lost sight of common courtesy and respectful manners. How many times have you said “Thank you,” and received a “No problem,” or no response at all. What about children saying, “Huh,” to an adult? How did a simple, “Yes Ma’am, No Ma’am, Please, Thank you,” and even a “Bless you” after a “Kerchoo,” disappear in our society? My Manners Hands is a meaningful rhyming children’s picture book that encourages manners from the past to the present day.

Our children start out as a clean slate, and we, as adults, can express the importance of being polite. We are grooming our children in love and true compassion. “May I, and Yes you May, to keep your manners every day. I can keep them with me, I know I can, because I am going to learn
