Solutions to 15 Problems in Education
Education is the subject of this book, and its primary focus is the outlining of solutions to fifteen tenacious problems in our educational systems. The book also explores in depth why we have these problems and where we go from here. First it goes back, delving into explanations of why we are grappling with problems that not only are prevalent in education but also reach beyond it, and into what’s stopping us from making real progress in solving them. Then it goes forward to examine solutions that can actually succeed by proposing what can be done and who can do it. Teachers, school administrators and anyone who is concerned about education and dedicated to improving it will find useful information and many helpful insights to carry forward the task of making our school systems better.

It’s also a book of ideas and techniques to give students an edge as they struggle to keep up, do well, or endeavor to excel in school, and will give their parents a view of what’s really going on in the schools.

The concepts in this book pertain to all subject areas, and math, when it appears, is used to illustrate a point and doesn’t require any ability to do the calculations. There are cartoons, stories, storytelling problems, and even poetry presented in this entertaining and not-so-familiar view of our familiar world through the eyes of a thirty-two year veteran teacher, who is both author and illustrator.
