Chapter One

God Made the World

There once was a boy who loved to go to his grandma's house. They liked finger painting. They painted pictures of people, animals, flowers, and many other things. After their pictures were dry, they taped them to Grandma's refrigerator for everyone to see.

At the very beginning of time, God decided to make something. God made the sun, moon, and stars. He made dry ground, plants, and trees. He made all the animals—floppy-eared elephants, scurrying ants, tall giraffes, and tiny kittens. Finally, God made two people—a man named Adam and a woman named Eve. It took God 1-2-3-4-5-6 days to make the world and everything in it.

How wonderful it is to live in such a beautiful world! God's creation is here for all of us to see!
