This book is about my spirit - a spirit that was rebellious, reckless, strong and loving. It was a rebellious spirit that did the opposite of what one should do; it was a reckless spirit that did not think of the consequences. It was a strong spirit that got me off the ground every time that I fell down and it was my loving spirit that kept my heart open and loving. Living with these spirits hasn't been boring. There has been excitement, much abuse of drugs and alcohol, mental and physical pain, health problems, sex, women, the drug culture, disappointments and losses caused by myself and others (not to mention a lot of failures); but this is not just a story of self-destruction. It is a story of surviving, battling on, hope, and the spirit of not giving up. This is a story of the struggle between God's way or my way, and eventually a soul-searching journey that was desperately needed, that would take time and patience, a lot of praying and faith not to tread where I had trod before. The journey continues in the sequel, 'Me and My Brother and Me'.
