About the Author

Tula Jack was born in Nottingham, England where she spent her childhood surrounded by the legend of Robin Hood. There was Nottingham Castle, Sherwood Forest and The Major Oak to explore and a wonderful statue of Robin Hood to gaze upon outside the castle walls. Tula even used to catch the bus to school on Maid Marian Way. Surrounded by such fantasy, Tula's love of stories and poetry started early in her life. Friday afternoons were her favourite times at school, as that was when her teacher read stories of Greek Mythology to the class. These stories fired Tula's imagination and she was well-known for daydreaming and looking out of the window instead of listening to lessons. At the age of ten she had a poem published in the school magazine, but sadly cannot now remember the words. She only remembers that it was about Autumn. As a teenager, Tula enjoyed making up bedtime stories for her younger sisters and her storytelling hobby was born. Now retired, Tula lives with her husband and two rescue dogs, and she is lucky enough to have the time to spend on her passion for writing children's poems and stories. Walking the dogs is the perfect time to create her next poem.
