When Your Faith Is Tried Don't Give Up
This study guide is designed to encourage people that may think about giving up when their faith in God is tried. Unfortunately, bad things may happen to try our faith in God. Many times some people will throw their hands up, give up, and go back to the world. The world is a familiar or comfortable place where it does not hold any answers and actually causes pain.
The study guide starts out with a humorous story. It points out stories of faith that are mandatory for us today, and gives an explanation of various scriptures regarding faith. It reveals questions at the end of each chapter as review. It tells how important faith is and was for biblical characters. It also shows how biblical characters endured, overcame, and maintained their faith in God. Again the study guide is designed to encourage some people when their faith in God is tried. Please endure and don't give up.

About the Author

Rudolph (Rudy) Burdett Jr. Teacher, author, ordained ministering evangelist, influential leader, and inspirational figure. A compassionate and bridge building man. He is a devoted, dedicated, committed member of the church of Christ. He relates to people from everyday walk in life by teaching and preaching faith which is the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Lord allowed him to plant the work in North Carolina in 2002 and served as the congregation’s first senior minister until 2007. He resigned in 2007 from preaching and teaching because of a stroke that he had in 2006.
Rudy’s personal message, which is the theme for the congregation, is “Developing the Whole Man According to God’s Plan.” Man is body, soul, and spirit. He knows before an individual can develop and transform their life, the spiritual and physical body has to be fed.
Jesus said, “You have the poor with you always.” This statement generated actions that passionately devoted him to helping those in need of food. He also, likes informing others of medical concerns and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ which generates faith.
He is the Director of the Food, Education, and Distribution Center (FEDC) that was established in 2004. Rudy feels that God has called him to help people, especially, in the local community.
He has been married to Tavondia Williams Burdett for nineteen years. They continue to reside in North Carolina. They have no biological children but have impacted the lives of many young people who have attended the congregation.
