About the Author

Kyle Wood is a father, artist and teacher. He studied painting and drawing at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. After years of working with children and reading numerous picture books he decided to start writing and illustrating his own stories to read to his son. As an educator, Kyle is drawn to stories with multiple layers of meaning and he works to create stories with multiple lessons for young audiences. As an artist, Kyle enjoys blending approaches of various modern and contemporary art movements into a unique visual style.
