About the Author

Robert Louis Stevenson (1850–1894) was a novelist who also wrote Kidnapped and Treasure Island. Ian Holm is an award-winning actor well-known for his stage work and for many film roles, including the hobbit Bilbo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
