As the Value Creation Specialist, James has nearly 30 years of track record in a diverse environment comprising financial, risk management, accounting system implementations, operational and strategic roles in Trading, Aviation, Movies Investment and Distribution. He is richly exposed in both local and international levels particularly in negotiating with the world leading aviation financiers, insurance and reinsurance brokers. His track record includes growing together with the founder of the company he worked with and get it listed and turned the company around when it was badly hit by the Asian Financial Crisis in 1996-7. Being an active strategic player, James has established himself as a registered trainer with international business club, association and professional institutions; a writer with nearly 10 local magazines and journals; blogger on financial, wealth and mindset; a business consultant with a group of companies. He also served as an associate trainer with Kaplan Institute, Singapore. He has been featured numerous times in the media, and has self-published 8 Ebooks specializing in value creation. Moving beyond the Horizon is the mind skill course he has conducted for in-house program with the Non-Profit Organization. Over the years, James has acquired a sound understanding of business insight across multiple dimensional environments, with extensive insightful information in those industries, but also very versatile to the rapidly changing business landscape. Across the scope of work, James has also found a passion in enhancing value from the customer’s perspectives whilst reducing wastes in term over process, information, physical environment and people if not eliminating them. He has developed and honed, over the years, proven analytical and developments skills gained through the companies he has worked with. His recognition goes beyond the organization as he was invited to be one of the speakers at the Secretarial Conference in Kuala Lumpur on Dec 2 & 3 2015, a conference event organized by Camfori Training Provider that featured comprehensive secretarial and financial strategies and solutions featuring 10+ thought leaders and speakers. One of his recent article has been selected to be included as a collection of the investment supplement published by Malaysian Investors Relation Association. It comprised of numerous renowned authors. This limited printed copies of books were distributed to more than 300 invited members and guests in conjunction with their IR Annual Award for 2016. He is actively involved in financial training programs for various local professional institutions, associations and economic updates with an international business club. He is also serves as an Associate Trainer with Kaplan Institute, Singapore. James graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from the National University of Malaysia, and Laws degree from the London of University (UK). He is a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountant, Certified Professional Trainer with IPMA (UK) & PSMB Certified Trainer and Competent Communicator with Toastmaster International.
