After years of suffering, Dan found that telling his tale freed him to rejoin the living. This is that story, a story of courage, of hope, and, ultimately a story of love.

About the Author

Dan Alon is a world champion fencer and a surviving member of the 1972 Israeli Olympic team. He watched in horror as 11 of his friends and teammates were killed at the Munich games by terrorist group Black September, and the event has been at the heart of a life's journey and meditation on family, legacy, and hope. Though the Munich Massacre has been well documented and dramatized in films such as "Munich" and "One Day In September," this book is Alon's account of that day, its effect on his life and the lives of other survivors, and his 35-year search for understanding and peace.
