During my formative growing up in North Carolina, I was raised by my grandmother (to whom love and honor is due forever), which meant going to church every Sunday. In church, I would nearly always find myself in trouble, which meant meeting my grandmother behind the church during service. You can assume what that meant. When I grew up, I attended college, where I started observing national and world events and how they affected me. There I began writing my thoughts and prayers and saving them. From time to time, I would reread them and feel a sense of joy and happiness. I began to think back through time and how I made it through, then I realized that it was God’s hand and guidance that saw me through. After rereading them the last time, I decided to put them in this book, hoping that the reader would experience some of the joy and happiness as I had.
