About the Author

A graduate of Texas A&M University (B.A.) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.), the author has a diverse background, which is one way of saying that he is still growing up and developing! Blessed by his wife of 18 years, Kay, and four grown children (2 daughters and 2 step-children) and four grandchildren, he has a rich sense of humor and brings that into his communications, whether written or spoken. He continues to enjoy learning, and enjoys most sports, having played baseball, basketball, and tennis, and continuing to enjoy golf. As a former trombone player and piano novice, his enjoyment of music extends from classical to swing to jazz to classic pop and rock to old hymns, and he has always enjoyed harmonic music, thus his passion for Brian Wilson and Beach Boys music. He currently lives in Tyler, Texas with his wife and three dogs and the token cat. He has another book of poetry and essays (unpublished) and is currently writing a book on Christian sanctification. He is, also, preparing to write his first novel. His deepest desire is to live and communicate Christian truth in a way that is practical and real. This is his first published book.
