About the Author

I retired (early) and decided to start a new career as a writer. Having heard my stories, two friends suggested I should write for children. I’d never thought of that – although I’d spent my first career communicating with young people – as a Chemistry teacher, and running clubs for badminton, chess, table tennis and hillwalking. The advice reminded me of a story I had started years before – about an Earth boy who became an agent of the Galactic Federation because he could sense the minds of the people of other planets. I started the story again, giving the boy a new name, Tony, and a girl companion, his cousin Bea, hoping that girls would like to read about her. I loved writing about Tony and Bea, and the young friends they made on other planets – as well as the dangers they faced. from baddies and wild beasts. Short-sighted publishers rejected the stories, but I enjoyed writing them, so I just kept doing it. I’ve now polished some of my favourites, and I’m issuing them as e-books. I hope everyone enjoys reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
