About the Author

Eugene de Salignac was born in Boston and started working for New York City in 1903. He served as official photographer for the Department of Bridges/Plant and Structures of New York City from 1906-1943.

Michael Lorenzini is the Deputy Director at the New York City Municipal Archives. He is a photographer and former editor at Aperture Foundation.

Kevin Moore is an independent art curator and historian.
