About the Author

Rein Selles is a Professional Retirement Planner specializing in the area of Lifestyle and Income Planning. Over the past 35 years, his experience has covered the full range of retirement from those who are well and living in the community to those who are in care. As a teacher, Rein has taught late life family dynamics in the faculties of Nursing (Mt. Royal College, Calgary) and Human Ecology (University of Alberta, Edmonton).

In his capacity as a Pre-retirement Educator, he has had the privilege of helping over 50,000 Canadians across Canada plan their retirements. He was awarded Honorary Life Membership in the Retirement Planners Association of Canada and recognized as a Distinguished Alumni of the University of Waterloo for his contributions to the field.

Jim Yih is one of Canada's leading experts on wealth and money. Since 1990, Jim has dedicated his career to educating people in the area of retirement planning, personal finance, investing and wealth management through his syndicated column, retirement workshops, fee only consulting and best selling books. Currently, Jim specializes in delivering retirement workshops to help people retire happy in addition to writing his regular syndicated column which has appeared in places like The Edmonton Journal, Globe and Mail, National Post and many more. Patricia French is a Financial Counsellor and Professional Human Ecologist specializing in planning with those who are under the age of 50. With 13 years of experience working with individuals and families, she believes financial roadblocks can be avoided or overcome with good planning.

She helps families get through the rough patches, steer clear of obstacles, and get on track to achieve their financial goals. She is also a Pre-retirement Educator and a University Instructor with the Department of Human Ecology (University of Alberta) teaching in the area of family finance.
