...a car door slammed.
Before Judd could reach the knob on the front door, an urgent knocking startled both of them. He took two steps and opened the door.

There, with no color at all in his face, his breaths hard and rapid, stood Randy. He grabbed both sides of the door jamb to stead himself. His legs were shaking, and he was working to catch his breath.

About the Author

S. D. ANDERSON is a first-time author. Because of her severe allergies to most of the standard treatments for Multiple Sclerosis, she and her husband were forced to become knowledgeable about the world of alternative medicine.

After reading autobiographies of others with M.S., she decided against using the established standard for autobiographies: written in the first person and focused solely on the main character. Instead, she forged forward by casting her biography in the third person in order to enable the reader—be it a spouse, child, hired caregiver, counselor, co-worker or friend—to connect with the importance of their contribution in the daily life cycle of someone with M.S. or any other chronic illness. No other author, to date, has dared to take this step.

This book is not just about the ‘first person’, because M.S. or any other chronic illness affects more than simply those who have it. This memoir is dedicated to all those who encourage, support, reassure, care for and help each other every day no matter what chronic illness someone in their life is living with.

2014 Update: Anderson lives in Wyoming with her husband Judd Sadly, they have lost their precious Tibetan Treasures, Kringle and Button. They share their life with Maile (a Portuguese Water Dog) and have added Maile’s sister, a Portie girl named Konda.
Both are therapy dogs. Saralouise has recently begun to dedicate her time to writing full time and Judd is retired after having had both his knees replaced.
