About the Author

Chuck Breuer is aka Dr. Charles Edward Breuer, Jr., a retired Pshychologist and native born Charlestonian. He is also a former active duty member of the USCG and a reserve officer of the USAF during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Chuck grew up with, around, and knew several officers of the law, and attended school with two son's of police officers, who were among his best friends. One of those friends retired from the USN and the other became a decorated and high-ranking police officer. The father of the friend, taught both Chuck and Mickey (read as Big Mike) to drive and shoot as teens. Chuck's grandfather and father were also police officers until retirement. His brother was a deputy sheriff in Arizona. Many of the anecdotes described as fiction here were actual events where Chuck was either a participant, or the situations were related to him by the officers he knew as he was growing up.
