A Child's View of Inter-Stellar War
Tum is a young person living through interesting (as in difficult and dangerous) times. His planet leads a loose coalition of planets. The masses on his planet are managed by use of a type of media known as "sousx" This keeps the majority in a trance state of sorts, and renders them unable to see reality as it is. Tum, strangely, is not affected greatly by the "sousx."

His journey leads him to live among other young people who seem to have broken free of their society, and have small society of their own. He must leave behind everything, and his sacrifice is beyond measure.

During this time, his planet in the name of the coalition (called the "xact") is leading another of their many wars against a tiny blue planet a great distance away through space. Some of the other planets in the "xact" are unhappy with the domination Tum's planet keeps over the rest, not to mention the endless wars on species who are barely able to defend themselves.

Tum discovers just how powerful his mental abilities are, and reluctantly joins up with agents from these other planets to save his "xact." And, save the tiny blue planet as well.
