About the Author

I grew up in Akron Ohio. Wrote poems and stories since I was a little girl, and still do. This is my first attempt at nonfiction. I was part of the Northeast Ohio Writing Association at Kent State Univ. in 2001. My husband Robert and I adopted 2 boys. One here in Akron in '81 and one from Korea in '87. We have each taught for 35 years in the Akron School System, retiring in June of 2011. I taught at the elememtary level, mostly first grade. Robert has taught in middle and high school, his degree in Industrial Arts, now turned into GTT technology program for higher level students. I have been working on this book for a year and a half and now that I'm retired, this book has been my healing as well as an informative wake up call and insite into what happens when a child turns to drugs.
