About the Author

Born in the rural area of Vanduser, Missouri, Gloria currently resides in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Gloria is a CPA/consultant, an independent writer, and an eBook author with a BS in Accounting & Business and a MA in Organizational Management.             Gloria and her husband were successful entrepreneurs.  In 1995, they started Dixon FYG Sprinkler Systems (a business of installing underground irrigation systems in residential and commercial properties) and sold it in 2013. Gloria has been employed as a corporate auditor for Deere and Company, Collins Community Credit Union and Alliant Energy.  She was also a Small Business Revenue Agent for the United States Department of Treasury - Internal Revenue Service. Gloria has worked in CPA firms as a tax accountant and auditor. Lastly, she has instructed accounting and business classes at Kaplan University and Mount Mercy University.             Gloria has served the local community of Cedar Rapids, Iowa as a member of the Hotel/Motel Tax Allocation Committee, Chairperson of the Advisory Council of Heart of Iowa, Public Health Finance Committee member, Taskforce Committee “Foresight 2020” member; and a member of the Budget Review Committee for the United Way of East Central Iowa.             Currently, Gloria performs financial consulting and volunteer work, along with promoting her first book, “After Death.”
