All That is Seen and Unseen; A Journey Through A First Trimester Miscarriage
1 in 5 women will experience a miscarriage. Sadly, there were no real books on the market specific to first trimester miscarriage...until now! All That is Seen and Unseen takes you on a journey through the heartwrenching experience of losing a child in the first trimester. This loss is typically brushed aside and many women remain silent. They are often left to grieve alone due to society's opinion that a loss this early doesn't matter.

The story is full of Elizabeth's most private journal entries. You will walk alongside her as she introduces you to her life and learns of her pregnancy. Despite the years she suffered through infertility, her pregnancy is a complete surprise and Elizabeth was unhappy due to the timing of the pregnancy.

She quickly recovers and is excited about her pregnancy, but a looming feeling that she will lose the baby envelops her. She takes you into the room with her as she sees her baby grow only to discover that her feelings of loss were confirmed just one month into her pregnancy. Elizabeth will walk you through her devastation, grief, and recovery.

Her book comes to an end with resources and information regarding miscarriage and what women can do to help honor their babies as well as ways to cope. Elizabeth hopes that women who have suffered this devastating loss will find peace and comfort knowing they are not alone and that their feelings are normal. Elizabeth also hopes that her book will give more women a voice and will bring an understanding to all that a loss is a loss, no matter what gestational age of the baby.

About the Author

Elizabeth Petrucelli grew up in a suburb in South Tulsa, Oklahoma. After graduation from highschool, she joined the United States Marine Corps and served as a Marine Rifleman and Musician. Elizabeth spent four years serving her country and met her husband along the way.

Elizabeth moved with her husband to Colorado in 1999. Elizabeth discovered she struggled with infertility in 2001 and was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome - the most common form of infertility among women. After three and a half years of searching for the right doctor and treatment, Elizabeth and her husband conceived their first child.

Elizabeth stayed home with their son and became a professional birth assistant (doula), childbirth educator, and later, a parenting instructor. Her business, Mile High Doula Services, quickly grew and Elizabeth served over 100 clients during her few short years as a doula. Elizabeth's heart remains with pregnancy; however, her long-time dream of becoming a police officer became her primary focus.

Elizabeth attended the police academy in the fall of 2009 and graduated with academic honors and Summa Cum Laude! Elizabeth's journey to find a police home was a roller coaster ride. During an integral part of the application process for several departments, Elizabeth suffered a severe injury and was eliminated as a candidate for four different police agencies.

During her recovery, Elizabeth discovered she was pregnant. Elizabeth should have been elated but due to the timing of this unexpected pregnancy, she was distraught. Elizabeth began journaling about her experiences. She quickly recovered and became excited about this new life growing inside her; however, she worried the pregnancy wouldn't last.

The pregnancy with her daughter, Ruby Josephine, was her inspiration for her new book, All That is Seen and Unseen - A Journey Through a First Trimester Miscarriage.

Elizabeth had always wanted to write a book and was surprised and excited when this book emerged from within her. Elizabeth currently works as a security manager and a reserve law enforcement officer. She lives with her husband and son in Parker, CO.

Join her as she educates the world and brings peace to women regarding first trimester miscarriage.
