About the Author

Born in Croatia and Poland respectively, Vesna Nikolic and Hanna Cabaj have been involved in education in Europe and North America for many years - and still love it! They have delighted in teaching and assessing students of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and interest levels. Vesna earned her Master's from the University of Toronto, while Hanna completed hers at the University of Warsaw. Hanna currently manages the Continuing Education Department Adult Education Program of the Toronto Catholic District School Board, while Vesna focuses on secondary student assessment at the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board, and also teaches online courses for Queen's University. Both authors, with their keen interest in classroom instruction, staff support, curriculum development and teacher training, find themselves frequent and welcome speakers at conferences, seminars, and institutes.
