"...and God Created Man"
A strange break-in, a field so covered in blood it looks red instead of green, hundreds of head of missing cattle, an RV torn open like a sardine can, a missing family and a little girl in a walking coma spell the beginning of the end for humanity. The sheriff of Stockton, a professor and his daughter are trying to unravel what might be happening when one of his deputies mysteriously disappears. When they go to check out an old government lab they find that a scientist has created genetic monsters. Tinkering with the DNA and splicing the genes of several varieties of ants he creates monsters capable of tearing a house apart with just their pincers, as well as any people they encounter including Frinkenham, their creator. As Sheriff Bill Lawson calls the state police for help no one wants to believe him until the ants start taking his town, as well as everyone in it, apart. What follows is a mad search for the ant's colony and a quest to stop the queens that have already flown away from creating an army of ants capable of overrunning the world! And has the crazy old scientist made Them! too smart?
The first chapter sort of follows the original 60's story but thereafter it is an excitement filled battle to save mankind. These aren't small ants made huge by mistake. They don't just sit there while the soldiers kill Them! They were created by Frinkenham to take the place of soldiers in battle and he made Them! extraordinary fighters.

About the Author

Born in Austintown, Ohio, William Prince had a very mobile childhood. He moved 17 times between the ages of ten and thirty. His father, a distributor Kirby vacuums, moved them from town to town, rarely spending more than a year in any one place before moving on. Used to such a fluid lifestyle, once he left home he continued to move often until he reached Orlando, FL., and decided to settle down there. Because of such a gypsy-like life, his dad's grandfather was, in fact, a gypsy in the old country, he was introduced to a wide range of customs and viewpoints.
From New York City to Key West, Florida, Indianapolis to the Atlantic Coast, and a deluge of cities in between, he gained first-hand knowledge of many different ways of life and views of the world, as well as the people who occupied those niches and had such views. This insight and large pool of resources allows him to bring his characters to life. Normally a writer of science fiction and horror stories, William Prince has also written a few children's fantasy books. The rest of his adult content stories, 'The Deliverers', 'Phineas' Lot', as well as his novel, 'The Purple People Eater', will also be available here on Nook Press soon.
