About the Author

John and Maureen Tampion have shared a lifelong interest in butterflies and plants. They have written extensively on gardening and butterflies, with particular emphasis on temperate and tropical flora and fauna. In 1990 they started their own butterfly and plant photographic library, agency and consultancy. Over the years, John and Maureen have designed and created many different gardens to maximise visitation by butterflies and other wildlife. Their tropical plant and butterfly greenhouses have been featured on televisions as well as in national newspapers and magazines. They live in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.
