About the Author

Stephanie Lymon is the twin sister to Stephon Lymon. She is the ninth of eleven children from the late Garnett Lymon and the late Essielene Myrick Lymon. Her parents had three sets of twins. Stephanie and Stephon were the last set. Stephanie was born and raised in Southwest Atlanta in a town called Adamsville. She is the mother of one daughter, Angele Lanete Lymon, whom she dedicated all of her books to. She presently resides in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Stephanie attended Atlanta public school and Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia. She and her twin brother have had some interesting situations, so she decided to write about them in her children’s book series called Being Twins. Stephanie notes that there are hardly any books about twins. The stories written by Stephanie are actually true stories about she and her twin brother Stephon. Some of the stories are funny and some are sometimes sad, yet all of the series holds lessons to be learned. Stephanie's style of writing is simplistic, yet every story tells an episode of Stephanie’s and Stephon’s journey from five to ten years of age.
